Conveniently located in southern Garner, North Carolina, the Sheldon Place neighborhood offers residents spacious homes and lots at very affordable prices.
Developed in the mid-2000s, Sheldon Place has become one of Garner's most popular communities, attracting young professionals, families, and retirees seeking comfort, convenience, and excellent value.
A Brief History of Sheldon Place
Sheldon Place sits on land that was once part of the historic Sheldon family farm, owned by the Sheldons since the early 1900s.
As Garner expanded rapidly in the 1990s and 2000s, the Sheldon family began selling off parcels of their farmland to developers.
National homebuilder DR Horton purchased a section of the former Sheldon farm in the mid-2000s to develop Sheldon Place.
Construction on the first homes began in 2006, with completion around 2007. Home styles range from cozy cottages to spacious two-story Colonials on generous lots.
Home Styles and Prices
Sheldon Place offers single-family homes ranging from approximately 2,600 to 2,700 square feet. Most homes have 4 to 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
Home prices currently range from around $270,000 to $330,000, with a median sale price of $294,250. The average price per square foot is very reasonable at around $102.
Lots are spacious, many over half an acre, allowing for privacy. One and two-story floorplans feature open layouts and luxury details like vaulted ceilings, gourmet kitchens, and master suites.
Homeowners association fees run around $0 per quarter.
