Much like its counterpart, Durham has also experienced a boom in the festival scene.

The Bull City has keenly embraced its diverse community, hosting events such as the American Dance Festival, showcasing both traditional and contemporary forms of dance performances.

This internationally renowned festival offers an exceptional experience for residents and visitors alike, elevating Durham's global reputation in the world of dance.

From May to October, the Holly Springs Farmers Market is held on Saturdays downtown. It offers locally-sourced produce, meats, baked goods, and crafts.

During warmer months, there is the free Summer at the Springs concert series at Ting Park. Local and regional artists perform. There are also Movies in the Park with family films shown outdoors.

On July 4th, there is a big Independence Day Celebration. It features activities, entertainment, and fireworks at Sugg Farm Park. For Easter, there is an Egg Hunt with games, inflatables, and vendors.

In December, there is the annual Christmas Parade downtown. It has floats, bands, and Santa visits. The tree lighting ceremony for Happy Holly Days also takes place then. National Night Out promotes police-community relationships.
