Kovens Construction (Kovens Construction Corp) is a Chapel Hill home builder tied to the Kovens family's development company, Capkov Ventures. Capkov's people page lists Hanan Kovens as owner and project coordinator of Kovens Construction Company, and Scott J. Kovens as president of Capkov Ventures. Scott Kovens is also listed as secretary of Kovens Construction Corp.
The BBB profile records the corporation's start in 1994. Capkov markets a longer family history: developing homes and communities since 1954 and working in Chapel Hill since 1972. Both can be true; the 1994 date is the legal entity, the older dates are the family business.
