Grandale Forest is a residential pocket in south Durham's 27713, with streets like Wineberry Drive, Covewood Court, and Middlebury Court. South Durham is where I send buyers who work in RTP but want more house for the money than Cary or Apex will give them - and neighborhoods like this one are why.
Location and Commute
27713 sits between NC-55 and Fayetteville Road with quick access to I-40. RTP commutes run 10-15 minutes, Southpoint's mall, restaurants, and movie theaters are your daily convenience anchor, and downtown Durham is about 15 minutes north.
What You'll Find
Single-family homes on established streets, with the tree cover the "Forest" name promises. This part of Durham built out through the 1990s and 2000s, so you get more square footage and lot than newer construction offers at the same price.
Bottom Line
South Durham keeps being the Triangle's value play for RTP households, and I don't see that changing while the job base keeps growing. Take a look at the current listings below - and if you want a neighborhood-level comparison across south Durham, that's a conversation I have with buyers every week.
