Buying from one builder concentrates your diligence rather than reducing it. Ask what is standard and what is an allowance, and get the allowance schedule in writing before you sign. Ask how change orders are priced once framing is up. Ask what the warranty covers in year two versus year ten, and who answers the phone. On a street where one company built everything, that company's financial health is also your resale story.
