Millstone in Cary, North Carolina

Millstone is a Toll Brothers community in west Cary, spread across Overdrift Lane, Timber Mist Court and Windboard Street. It is the larger of the builder's two Triangle communities at this price, and the one with real choice still in it.

Where Millstone Sits in Cary

The community is in 27519, west Cary — the part of town closest to Research Triangle Park and RDU without being in either. Cary's draw has never been one landmark; it is that the schools, the retail and the commute all work at once, which is why the town holds value through cycles that soften other submarkets.

The Homes

Plans run four to six bedrooms with up to six and a half baths, two-story great rooms, flex rooms and generous outdoor living. Homes currently listed run roughly 4,156 to 5,152 square feet, built in 2025 and 2026, with designs reaching past 5,000 square feet and options for first-floor guest suites and home offices.

The Two-Story Great Room, Honestly

A two-story great room is the feature that sells the model home and divides owners five years in. It buys volume and light that a flat ceiling cannot. It also costs you the square footage above it, and it moves conditioned air in ways that show on a January bill. Worth standing in one at full height before you decide it is the plan you want.

Millstone or Weston Reserve?

Toll Brothers is running both at nearly the same price, one town apart, and the difference is scale rather than quality.

Choice or scarcity. Weston Reserve is the one to walk if the smaller neighborhood appeals; this is the one if you want options.

Buying at Millstone With a Team That Builds

In a community still releasing lots, the lot is where the money is made or lost — which ones back to open space, which back to a future phase, and what the premium on each is actually buying. We read a Toll phase map before we tour, not after.
