BUILDER PROFILE

Hafsa Building Group

Hafsa Building Group is a custom builder in the Raleigh-Durham Triangle, working in Apex, Cary, Chapel Hill, Clayton and 3 more Triangle towns. It is listed in our custom and semi-custom builder directory rather than the production data set, so it holds no standing community inventory here and each build is priced from its own plan, lot and specification. The builder writes and presents that contract through its own representative; we represent the buyer instead.

Every sales consultant in a Hafsa Building Group model home works for Hafsa Building Group: the builder's contract, the builder's lender, the builder's incentives. Tim M. Clarke represents the buyer on the other side of that table. He compares Hafsa Building Group communities, reads the contract and warranty before you sign, and attends the walkthroughs. Most custom builders give you a target date. Hafsa Building Group gives you a guarantee. Its website says it delivers your home on the agreed date or compensates you for each day it runs over.

That promise sits beside two more: fixed contract pricing with “no price increases,” and a reply from the team within one business day. In 2026 the company’s Amara home in Portofino took Gold, Best Outdoor Living, and Best of the Best in the Johnston County Parade of Homes.

Big promises deserve close reading. This guide covers what Hafsa publishes, where it builds, and the contract terms to pin down before you sign.

Who Is Hafsa Building Group?

Hafsa Building Group is a custom home builder founded by Rami Hafsa, who signs the company’s pages as “Rami Hafsa, G.C.” The About page says he has been building homes since 2017, and the contract page says the company was “established by Rami Hafsa in 2017.”

Affiliations and offices

Hafsa Building Group Co. is listed as a builder member in the 2025 Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County directory. Its own pages also cite the National Association of Home Builders and the Home Builders Association of Winston-Salem.

The company lists two offices: 877 E Gannon Ave in Zebulon and 840 Alexander Promenade Place in Raleigh. The main number on its website is (919) 903-2399. Each office has its own line, and the About page shows another number, so confirm which one reaches your project manager.

One naming note: some client reviews on the site call the company “Hafsa Construction.” The HBA directory lists Hafsa Building Group Co. Make sure that is the name on your contract.

Where Does Hafsa Building Group Build?

Hafsa’s “Where We Build” pages center on greater raleigh and the Triangle, with town pages for apex, cary, chapel-hill, wake-forest, and zebulon. Its current homes are in two communities.

Community Town What the builder lists
Bailey Meadows Wake Forest (Wake County) About 18 homesites off Mitchell Mill Road; no city taxes or HOA fees; two homes for presale
Portofino Clayton (Johnston County) Homesites from 1.27 to 2.74 acres; the award-winning Amara (sold); two homes listed
Joyful Creek Not stated The Isabella, Lot 1 (sold)

Hafsa’s site describes Portofino, near clayton, as having 7 miles of trails, two community pools, and equestrian facilities. Our Portofino community guide has more. The company also lists a sold home, The Mia, in Zebulon. Its site has county pages for Nash, Sampson, and Guilford counties and a Greensboro page, so part of its footprint sits outside the Triangle. This guide stays with the Triangle work.

It has sold. It shows the level of finish Hafsa builds to.

How Does Building With Hafsa Work?

Hafsa publishes a six-step process:

  1. Consultation. Goals, preferences, and budget.
  2. Design meeting. Plan and selections, with 3-D renderings.
  3. Contract review and final pricing. An itemized cost breakdown, the payment schedule and milestones, and the warranty and timeline terms.
  4. Homesite assessment. Soil, permits, and lot readiness. Hafsa says it can help you find a lot if you do not have one.
  5. Construction. Progress shared through the online portal.
  6. Moving in. A final inspection, a walkthrough of the home’s systems, and the start of the warranty period.

What Should You Verify Before Signing With Hafsa?

Before signing with Hafsa Building Group, get every guarantee written into the contract with numbers attached. Our guides to choosing a Triangle builder and why the builder’s agent works for the builder cover the basics.

Put a number on the on-time guarantee

The website promises compensation for each day past the agreed date. Ask for the daily amount, the start date the clock runs from, and the exclusions. Weather, permit delays, and buyer change orders are the usual ones.

Define “fixed pricing”

Fixed contracts still have allowances and change orders. Ask which items are allowances, what happens when a selection goes over, and how site surprises like rock or poor soil are priced.

Get the full warranty

The move-in page describes a one-year warranty program covering issues such as nail pops and drywall cracks. It does not publish a structural or systems term. Ask for the complete written warranty and compare it with our home-builder warranty guide.

Confirm the license and the entity

Match Hafsa Building Group Co. and the general contractor license on your contract to the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors.

Price the land and the lot work

Bailey Meadows has no city taxes, and Portofino lots run past an acre. Ask about well and septic, the survey, and driveway and clearing costs before you compare prices with in-town homes.

How Does Hafsa Compare With Other Building Options?

Hafsa competes on contract terms: a published schedule guarantee, fixed pricing, and an itemized cost breakdown at signing.

Option Price level Lot Builder access Best fit
Hafsa presale Price on request Builder’s lot, often an acre-plus Direct to founder’s team Buyers who want a finished plan with customization
Hafsa custom build Itemized at contract Your lot or one it helps find Direct Buyers who want 3-D design and a firm date
Production builder Varies Subdivision lot Sales office Buyers who want a standardized process
Luxury resale Varies Established lot None Buyers who need to move fast

Who Is a Strong Fit for Hafsa Building Group?

Hafsa fits a buyer who wants a large custom home on real acreage and who values contract certainty as much as finishes.

The strongest candidates usually:

  • need a firm move-in date, such as a relocation or a lease ending;
  • want 3-D renderings before committing to a plan;
  • like to watch progress through photos and a portal;
  • are drawn to Wake Forest’s rural edge or Johnston County acreage;
  • will read the guarantee language line by line.

It is a weaker fit for buyers who want published prices up front or a walkable in-town lot.

Final Thoughts About Hafsa Building Group From Tim Clarke

A schedule guarantee, fixed pricing, and a Best of the Best Parade award in the same year is a strong combination. Hafsa is putting its name behind dates and dollars, which is what buyers usually wish builders would do.

A guarantee is only as good as its wording. Get the daily compensation figure, the allowance list, and the full warranty in writing before you sign.

I have spent 17+ years in Triangle real estate. Our team builds as well as sells, so we know where custom contracts hide their exceptions and how to price acreage lots honestly. The builder’s sales team represents the builder; we represent you.
