BUILDER PROFILE

Pinnacle Home Builders and Construction Company

Pinnacle Home Builders and Construction Company is a custom builder in the Raleigh-Durham Triangle, working in Holly Springs and Wake Forest. It is listed in our custom and semi-custom builder directory rather than the production data set, so it holds no standing community inventory here and each build is priced from its own plan, lot and specification. The builder writes and presents that contract through its own representative; we represent the buyer instead.

You won’t find three acres and a new 2,550-square-foot ranch for $650,000 in Wake County. Pinnacle Home Builders put exactly that into the 2026 Franklin County Parade of Homes, at Keller Pond outside Oxford.

Pinnacle Home Builders and Construction Company, Inc. is a Wake Forest company with a North Carolina residential builder’s license on file since 2003. It publishes very little about itself. The company’s listed website, pinnaclehomebuilders.com, did not load when we checked in October 2026. So this guide stays with what the public record shows and spends most of its length on what a buyer should verify directly.

Who Is Pinnacle Home Builders?

Pinnacle Home Builders is a small, owner-led building company based in wake-forest. Two public records describe it. Neither one is a company website.

Record What it shows
NC Licensing Board for General Contractors Pinnacle Home Builders And Construction Company, Inc., license L.53951, active, unlimited limitation, Residential classification, first issued September 18, 2003, expires December 31, 2026. Address: 7824 Melcombe Way, Wake Forest.
Better Business Bureau (secondary source) Business started February 1, 1996. President: Michael P. McNally. Address: 210 Barn Hill Lane, Wake Forest. Not BBB-accredited, not rated, 0 complaints in the last three years, 0 customer reviews.
2026 Franklin County Parade guide Phone (919) 291-7000, which matches the license record. Website listed as pinnaclehomebuilders.com.

The license board and the BBB list two different Wake Forest street addresses. That is common for small builders that work from a home office. Still, confirm which address and which entity will appear on your contract.

What we could not verify

The company does not currently have a working website. That means there is no published list of communities, price range, plan library, building process, or warranty. We left those fields blank instead of guessing. Every item below is something to ask the builder for in writing.

What Does the 2026 Parade Home Show?

Pinnacle’s 2026 Franklin County Parade of Homes entry is Entry 19, “Whispering Pines,” at 3177 Keller Lane, Oxford, in the Keller Pond area of Granville County. It is the most detailed public evidence of what Pinnacle builds now.

Feature Parade guide listing
Price $650,000
Heated size 2,550 square feet
Lot 3.26 acres
Layout 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, split-bedroom ranch
Main floor Chef-style kitchen with pantry, dining area, vaulted family room with a stone fireplace, primary bedroom with walk-in closet, two more bedrooms on the opposite side
Upstairs Fourth bedroom, dedicated office, and a bonus/game room of about 17’10" x 18’8", plus storage
Outdoor Vaulted screened porch, patio, covered front porch
Flooring 9-inch-wide LVP throughout
Garage Oversized two-car garage
Design firm McMillan Design
Listing agent Missy Robbins, Cardinal Real Estate Group

That works out to about $255 per heated square foot, including the land. For a buyer priced out of Wake County acreage, that number is why the drive north is worth looking at.

What the rendering shows

The guide’s rendering shows a Craftsman-style front with board-and-batten gables, shutters, a stone water table, and a full-width covered porch. Renderings are marketing. Confirm the actual siding, stone coverage, window package, and roofing on the specification sheet.

What Should You Verify Before Signing With Pinnacle?

Before signing with Pinnacle Home Builders, get the documents a builder website would normally publish: the specifications, the warranty, the contract, and references. With a builder this private, everything you rely on should be in writing.

Identity and license

  • Confirm the contracting entity is Pinnacle Home Builders And Construction Company, Inc. and that license L.53951 is still active on the Licensing Board’s public search on the day you sign.
  • Ask who the license qualifier is and who will supervise your house day to day.
  • Ask for proof of general liability and workers’ compensation coverage.

Rural-lot due diligence

A 3.26-acre lot outside Oxford means you are not buying into a Wake County subdivision. Check the following:

  • Septic: the permit, the system type, and the number of bedrooms it is approved for. A four-bedroom house needs a four-bedroom permit.
  • Well: the depth, flow rate, and a water-quality test.
  • Schools and taxes: Granville County schools and the Granville County tax rate apply, not Wake’s.
  • Restrictions: any covenants or HOA at Keller Pond, plus easements, floodplain, and driveway maintenance.
  • Survey: whether one is included, and whether the corners are staked.

Warranty

No published warranty was available. Ask whether Pinnacle provides a written one-year workmanship warranty and whether a third-party 10-year structural warranty comes with the home. Then compare the terms with other builders’ using our home-builder warranty guide.

References and history

Pinnacle has been in business since 1996, according to the BBB, and has held its license since 2003. Ask for three recent buyers whose homes were similar in price and lot type, and call them. Ask about final cost against the contract, schedule, and how warranty calls were handled. Our guide to finding a Triangle builder lists the full question set. Our article on the builder’s agent versus your interests explains why the listing agent on a builder’s home is not your agent.

How Does This Compare With Buying Closer to Raleigh?

The Oxford trade-off is land and price against drive time and services.

Option Typical lot What you gain What you give up
Pinnacle at Keller Pond 3.26 acres Acreage, privacy, a new ranch layout at $650,000 Longer commute, well and septic, Granville County services
New production home in north Wake Small suburban lot Shorter drive, city water and sewer, amenities Space between houses; acreage at this price
Custom build on your own Wake lot Varies Full control Usually a much higher total cost

Who Is a Strong Fit for Pinnacle Home Builders?

Pinnacle’s Parade home fits a buyer who wants single-level living with room to spread out and is fine trading drive time for land.

The strongest candidates:

  • want the primary bedroom on the main floor, with guest, office, and bonus space upstairs;
  • work remotely or commute toward north Wake, Butner, or Oxford;
  • are comfortable owning a well and septic system;
  • will do their own homework, because the builder publishes very little.

Final Thoughts About Pinnacle Home Builders From Tim Clarke

Pinnacle has a residential license dating to 2003, a president named in the public record, and a 2026 Parade home that delivers 3.26 acres and a four-bedroom ranch for $650,000. That is a strong value case on paper.

The paper record is also thin. There is no working website, no published warranty, and no published spec sheet. None of that means the builder isn’t good. It means the buyer has to request what other builders post online, and has to get it in writing before a deposit goes down.

I’ve been in Triangle real estate for 17+ years, and our team builds as well as sells. We know what a rural build contract needs to cover, from the septic permit to the final survey. If the Keller Pond home or another Pinnacle build is on your list, call us at (919) 355-8462. We’ll walk the land with you and go through the paperwork line by line.
