Holly Springs was a small town when StarCraft Builders started building there in 1998. The company has watched it turn into one of the busiest suburbs in southern Wake, and its website names neighborhoods it has built in along the way.
That website, though, has not been updated recently. It lists no available homes, and its About page reads like it was written several years ago. StarCraft is still listed as a builder member of the Raleigh-Wake builders association, so the company appears to be active. Confirm current activity directly before you plan around it.
Who Is StarCraft Builders?
StarCraft Builders is a locally owned custom home builder run by Jason Brown and Steve Brown. Its About page says it has been “Building Since 1998.” The company is based at 5804 Cleome Court in holly-springs, and its phone is (919) 369-1228. It is listed as a builder member in the 2025 Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County directory, under the name Starcraft Builders LLC.
The About page says StarCraft is licensed for residential and commercial building and is a member of the national home builders association. It describes modern architectural styles, attention to how space is used, and Energy Star efficiency in its recent subdivisions. It also promises one-on-one meetings and open communication with the owners.
The page names three communities as recent work: Grove Park Village, The Park at West Lake, and West Glen Estates. Because the page is dated, treat those as past work and ask what is available today.

What Should You Verify Before Signing?
Our guides to finding a Triangle builder and why the builder’s agent works for the builder explain how to protect yourself. With StarCraft, ask for:
- License and entity. Match Starcraft Builders LLC and its license number to the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors.
- Current activity. Ask what the company is building now, and where.
- Recent completed homes. Addresses of homes finished in the last three years, and owners you can call.
- Energy documentation. If Energy Star matters to you, ask for the certification or HERS report on a recent home.
- Warranty. Get it in writing and compare it with our home-builder warranty guide.
Final Thoughts About StarCraft Builders From Tim Clarke
A builder that has worked in Holly Springs since 1998 knows the town, the lots, and the inspectors. That counts for something. A website that has not kept up means you need to do the checking in person.
I have spent 17+ years in Triangle real estate. Our team builds as well as sells, and we represent the buyer while the builder’s people represent the builder. If StarCraft Builders is on your list, call us at (919) 355-8462.
