Who is VR Custom Homes?
VR Custom Homes is a Raleigh custom home builder and remodeler founded in 2017 by Aaron Voss, its president. It is a family company: Gary Voss is project manager, Jonathan Voss is trade and quality assurance director, and Sharon Voss is director of operations. The company markets construction and residential realty services together under the Voss Residential brand.
VR Custom Homes license and company record
The licensed company is Solid Rock Renovations LLC. The NC Licensing Board for General Contractors lists VR Custom Homes, Voss Residential and VR Construction as names it also uses. Searches for "Voss Residential Construction" lead here, but that is a brand, not the legal entity.
As of October 2026, the board lists license L.78839, classification Building, Intermediate, active and expiring December 31, 2026. The qualifier is Aaron Michael Voss. An Intermediate license caps the value of a single project, so on a large custom home, confirm your contract fits under it. Your contract should name Solid Rock Renovations LLC.
