Horizon is a small established neighborhood in Pittsboro, on Horizon Drive and Coley Court. Homes were built between 2009 and 2014 by Garman Homes and run roughly 2,784 to 3,168 square feet — a tight range across a short build window.
A Finished Neighborhood
Built inside five years and complete for over a decade, Horizon has no construction left in it. The HOA has a real operating history rather than a projection, the landscaping is established, and resale patterns are visible instead of promised. Everything about the neighborhood is knowable before you buy.
Ten to Fifteen Years Old
Houses at this age are at a specific point: original HVAC is nearing the end of its design life, roofs are more than halfway through theirs, and water heaters have usually been replaced once. None of that is a problem — it is a set of numbers that belongs in your offer rather than in a surprise after the inspection.
Pittsboro Changed Around It
Pittsboro has moved faster than any town in the western Triangle over the last decade, because Chatham County had land when Wake ran out. A 2009 neighborhood here was built before most of that arrived, which generally means larger lots than a comparable new community would offer today.
