Who is Marlowe Builders?
Marlowe Builders, Inc. is a Raleigh home builder and residential developer. The Better Business Bureau dates the business to 1980. Its president and developer contact is W. Anderson "Bill" Marlowe III, who is named on the company's 2021 Raleigh subdivision plan. Historically the company built custom single-family homes and did residential development work in Raleigh and Durham.
Two businesses share the Marlowe name. Douglas (Doug) Marlowe is a separate Durham contractor with his own individual license (BuildZoom record). He is not Marlowe Builders, Inc., and work credited to one should not be read as work by the other.

The BBB profile lists North Carolina license number 33144 for Marlowe Builders, Inc. We could not confirm the license classification or its status as of October 2026. Before you sign anything, look the company up on the NC Licensing Board for General Contractors public search and confirm the license is active and in the company's name.
Raleigh permit records show no Marlowe Builders, Inc. permits after 2019 (Open Permit Data, checked October 23, 2026).
